Accepting Help Can be Hard

To many of us, needing help means we’re not really self-sufficient, which in our culture is a flaw. For some, it’s the belief that needing help makes you beholden. And for others still, it’s an issue of trust — what if the people who help you take advantage of or hoodwink you somehow?
